Although no one likes to carry excessive body fat, it’s difficult stay healthy with a minimum level of body fat in your body. If you want to stay in good shape and health, you should try to keep your body fat within certain a range. The optimum level of body fat varies among people depending on individual characteristics i.e. sex, height, metabolism, lifestyle, health and so on.

Although it might sound quite simple and easy, getting your body fat within, lets say 12-15% is actually tough. Most of the people spend months after months in rigorous diet, exercises and programs to reduce their body fat. Thanks to diet and exercises, most of the people will start to lose body fat in a rapid pace in the initial stage. But the real pity is that gradually your body will lose the pace and you will see that at a certain stage you are not losing anymore body fat regardless of your hard efforts.

In our field of expertise, we call this body fat plateau. This is a stage when your body becomes immune to any kind of exercises or diet and doesn’t lose any more fat. For some people, this is the most frustrating stage and many people actually give up their routine as they see that they are going nowhere anymore. For one of our newsletter subscribers, the plateau is 21% and his query was “How do I get out of a major plateau at 21% body fat?” The answer to this is neither simple nor complicated. But before you rear our suggestion to try and beat this, you will first need to know how your body works.

The human body is actually a smart machine, It realizes the environment around it and how it is being treated. According to this, it is always changing its internal settings i.e. metabolism to keep it up and running. When you severely reduce your food intake, the body realizes that there is a calorie deficit and it will decrease its metabolism rate to save more calories in your body for future need. So no matter how long or how hard you keep on dieting, you won’t be able to lose anymore body fat after a certain stage.

But there are a couple of roundabouts for this. For this, you will first need to change your lifestyle i.e. diet for a short span of time to restart the metabolism and boost insulin sensitivity. This is a change that will once again put your body in a good shape and you will again start to lose body fat and reach your desired level. Here is a 1-2 week complete body cleanse program that we hope will help you

Days 1-3:

  • Drink 2 gallons of water each day (Compulsory)
  • Eat ONLY turkey breast and tuna (3 meals a day)
  • Avoid any kind of fat for these three days
  • Eat lots of vegetables especially Broccoli.

  1. Interesting! I would like to try, but am a vegetarian :( So how about Vegetarians, how can they achieve the above on days 1 to 6? So how many gm of protein per day in days 1 to 6, and how many veggie servings? On day 7, how many gm of carbs and how many veggie servings?
